Tawang or Sikkim
two Himalayan plans from Kolkata

Pick a side. Tawang for high-altitude monasteries, 1962 war history, and mountain road epics. Sikkim for rhododendron valleys, Kanchenjunga sunrises, and gentler logistics.

Quick verdict. Go Sikkim if this is the group's first Himalayan trip, if the ₹10k-per-head saving matters, or if weather-risk tolerance is low — three regions in 5 nights is an easier, more photogenic itinerary. Go Tawang if the group is set on Tawang Monastery or Bumla Pass specifically, is comfortable with long mountain drives, and wants the 1962 war-history dimension that Sikkim doesn't offer.

Glimpse of both
